A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
