Charli XCX Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Fictional Documentary Preview
The celebrated musician is gearing up for a major cinematic presence in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, she portrays what she refers to as a dark version of her own persona.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, the star remarked.
She further explained in an interview: It’s not a tour documentary, yet the concept came from the expectation to produce one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The first teaser, launched on Thursday, mixes authentic footage from Charli’s Sweat tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The film is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who shared that the plot centers on a reality where the singer took completely different paths in the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.
