Slip-ups From World Leaders Believing No One Is Listening
Recently, Indonesia's leader Prabowo Subianto thought he was having a confidential discussion with US President Donald Trump during Middle East peace talks in Egypt.
However, a live microphone situation captured Prabowo asking Trump to organize a call with his son Don Jr, who hold positions at the Trump organization.
This was just one in a series of gaffes committed by international figures when they assume no one can hear them.
Below are five other noteworthy blunders:
Organ Transplants and Immortality
At a military parade in Beijing in early autumn, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia's head Vladimir Putin were overheard discussing organ replacement as a method for extending lifespan.
"Human organs can be continuously transplanted. The longer you live, the more youthful you get, and it's possible to even reach eternal life," Putin's interpreter was heard saying.
Xi, who was not visible, answered in Chinese: "Experts forecast that in this century humans may reach 150 years old."

'Sea Rising at Your Door'
Former Australian border protection chief Peter Dutton came under fire in 2015 when he made light about the situation of people in the Pacific experiencing ocean encroachment.
Dutton was conversing with former PM Tony Abbott, who had recently come back from climate change talks with regional heads in Port Moresby.
Noting that a migration discussion was running on "delayed schedule", Abbott responded: "We had a similar situation up in Port Moresby."
Dutton commented: "Time doesn't mean anything when you're about to have the ocean reaching your home."
These remarks sparked outrage from regional nations and climate activists, while the political opponents demanded Dutton to apologise.

'Bigoted Woman'
While serving as UK PM Gordon Brown was on the trail in 2010, he faced a voter who challenged him on migration and the economy.
Remaining connected to a broadcast microphone when he entered the car, Brown was heard saying: "That went terribly – they should never have put me with that woman. Who thought of that? Ridiculous."
When questioned about she had said, he answered: "All topics, she was just a bigoted woman."
The scandal received extensive coverage for weeks and Brown ultimately lost the political race.
'I Cannot Bear Netanyahu. He Lies.'
Former US president Barack Obama was in conversation at the international conference in Cannes in 2011 with then French president Nicolas Sarkozy when their remarks about Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu were captured by a live microphone.
Sarkozy said: "I cannot bear Netanyahu. He's a liar."
Per a version from a French interpreter cited by Reuters, Obama replied: "You've had enough but I must work with him more often than you."
'Major League ***hole'
A classic hot-mic moment from then US presidential candidate George W. Bush happened as he made a negative comment about a journalist from The New York Times.
The GOP candidate was unaware that a microphone was live when he turned to Dick Cheney at a political event and said, "That's Adam Clymer, major league asshole from the New York Times."
Cheney responded: "Absolutely, he is, big time."
